WATCH: Police Looking For Purse Snatcher In Darthmouth

 

DARTMOUTH, Mass ( WBZ NewsRadio) — Police in Dartmouth, Mass. are asking for the public's help in finding a purse snatcher.

A 76-year-old woman's purse was stolen after she was pushed to the ground by an unidentified man as she left Citizen's Bank branch at 606 Dartmouth St. on Monday.

Police said the entire incident was caught on surveillance video.

"It shows the suspect, struggling with the woman behind the vehicle, enter a silver Toyota Corolla and drive out of the parking lot heading down Cove Road," Dartmouth Police Detective Kyle Costa said.

Costa said that the woman received only minor injuries, and was evaluated at the scene by EMS personnel.

"We are essentially asking the public to view the video and review the press release and if anybody has information to contact the Dartmouth Police Department," Costa said.

Police describe the suspect as a white male, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall with a stocky build, wearing a stocking cap, dark glasses, and a dark jacket.
