Bruins Players, Coaches Upset About Non-Call

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — No one is happy about Thursday’s night Game 5 between the Bruins and St. Louis.

Well, except for the St. Louis Blues who won the game 2-1 and are now leading the Stanley Cup Finals 3-2.

Well, Except St Louis who won the game 2-1 and are now leading the Stanley Cup Finals 3-2.

The game will be shrouded in controversy over the lack of calls throughout the game.

Players, coaches and fans believe that the referees missed a key penalty in the third period putting the Bruins on the brink of elimination.

That goal was the difference maker in the game.

"This is the National Hockey League, it's getting a black eye with their officiating this playoffs.. It was egregious." Bruins coach Bruce Cassidy said.

However, with all the emotion Cassidy did add that the team must now focus on Game 6.

"The emotion now is we've got to put it behind us and we've got to win Game 6. That's what's in front of us...that's what the mindset is today," he added.

The Stanley Cup Final heads back to St. Louis for Game 6 on Sunday.
