BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — It's Week 2 of the NFL season, but rather than Patriots-Dolphins, much of the focus has been on the roller coaster ride of Antonio Brown over the past week.

WBZ NewsRadio's Adam Kaufman sat down with Boston Globe Patriots writer Ben Volin to talk about all things Patriots—including the controversial wide receiver, takeaways from Sunday's obliteration of the Steelers, and the match-up with Miami.

In light of the rape and sexual assault allegations against Brown, Kaufman asked Volin how he thinks it'll all play out.

"If it's just what it is right now and it's a civil suit and there are no criminal charges or investigations—which, there is not right now, it's simply just a civil lawsuit—then I think Antonio Brown is gonna stick with the Patriots and he's gonna play," Volin said. "Now, is he gonna play this Sunday in Miami? I'm still on a wait-and-see mode on that one. The NFL is planning on interviewing the accuser by next week, and maybe the Patriots and the NFL say, all right, we'll keep him off the field one more week until we can interview the accuser, we have her put all her cards on the table, and then we can move forward."

Does Volin think the Pats regret signing him?

"I think if they had known this civil suit was coming, that they probably would have held off on signing him, I think that's pretty clear," Volin said. "Maybe in that sense there's a little bit of regret that they handed over a $9 million signing bonus without before fully knowing what was coming down the pike. That said, it's kind of a deal with the devil here. You know kind of what you're getting with Antonio Brown—again, you don't expect a civil lawsuit accusing him of sexual assault, but you understand that he's gonna bring a certain element of crazy to the locker room, and that when you're bringing him on, you're signing up for the entire Antonio Brown experience."

Kaufman and Volin talk more about the Antonio Brown saga, and also dive into the Demaryius Thomas trade, what we learned from Week 1, whether or not we'll see a trend in passing over the run game for the Pats, Stephen Gostkowski's perfect performance, and predictions for the Miami game.
