Cutting “God” out of the National Prayer Proclamation. President Joe Biden, a self-described "devout Catholic", issued the annual written National Day of Prayer proclamation this week without once using the word “God”. Some religious leaders are criticizing the President for this omission. The National Day of Prayer, which was codified in 1952, is a tradition dating back to the founding of America.

Birthing Persons? Missouri Congresswoman Cori Bush set Twitter ablaze this week when she posted a video of her testimony before the Democratic Oversight Committee about America's Black maternal health crisis in which she used the term "birthing person" as one way to describe a pregnant individual.
