Calls Continue for Answers on Governor’s Former Aide. LaMar Cook, the former deputy director of Gov. Healey's western Massachusetts office was charged with cocaine trafficking and firearms charges in late October, after authorities seized 18 pounds of cocaine addressed to his Springfield office. Lawmakers and gubernatorial candidates alike, including gubernatorial candidate Mike Kennealy, have been calling for answers regarding LaMar’s hiring process. Mike Kennealy will join us this evening to discuss.
Another Extension? The Massachusetts Seal, Flag, and Motto Advisory Commission is asking for another extension regarding its recommendations for a new state flag and seal. The commission says they need the extension because "there remains a fundamental public misunderstanding about why the flag’s controversial imagery needs to go” and they believe "that more time is needed to ensure robust community engagement.” What suggestion do you have for a new state flag and seal?
