A new ad campaign criticizing Boston Public Schools was briefly displayed on MBTA trains before the T pulled the ads, saying they violated its advertising guidelines. The ads, paid for by the education advocacy group Next Chapter Boston, highlighted state test data showing most Boston third graders performing below grade level in math and reading. The group says the campaign is meant to draw attention to BPS academic results, while the MBTA says the ads were placed without the required review. Local education advocate and former Boston School Committee member Mary Tamer, Ed.M., joins Dan tonight!
