Stone Backs Away From Nunberg Claims

Longtime Donald Trump confidant Roger Stone is publicly backing away from former Trump aide Sam Nunberg after Nunberg spent Monday making claims on cable news.  Nunberg said he wouldn't be cooperating with a subpoena issued by special counsel Robert Mueller and called Stone a mentor.  Nunberg said he would do what he could to protect Stone.  Stone told Chuck Todd on "Meet the Press Daily" Tuesday that he has no idea what protection Nunberg was talking about.  He said that Nunberg is talented but that he'd never tell him to ignore a subpoena to turn over documents.  Stone was linked with WikiLeaks during the 2016 election.

WikiLeaks published the hacked emails of Hillary Clinton campaign manager John Podesta and questions have come up about whether Stone knew about the leak in advance.
