BOSTON, MA (WBZ-AM) — Rams cornerback Nickel Robey-Coleman was critical of Patriots QB Tom Brady in an interview with Bleacher Report, but he claims his message was twisted and he meant no disrespect.
Nickel Robey-Coleman told Bleacher Report age has "taken a toll" on Patriots Quarterback Tom Brady, and he "isn't the same quarterback he was."
But, during last night's Super Bowl Opening Night in Atlanta, the Rams cornerback ran a different route with his mouth.
Robey-Coleman said he'd never disrespect Brady. He was asked about the difference between the past and now, and he went with the signal-caller's age. After all, Brady's 41.
In that same Bleacher Report interview, Robey-Coleman also said he "hated" New England. Monday night, he said that came from playing for the Bills and sharing a division with the Pats.
Brady was asked about Robey-Coleman's remarks and, after a long pause, said, "Yeah, I don't have much to add."
Don't be surprised if Brady targets the self-proclaimed "Slot God" Robey-Coleman Sunday. We've seen that type of calculated response from the quarterback before.
