BOSTON (WBZ-AM) — An upstate New York kid who wears a Patriots jersey in support of his favorite team is getting some support right back after getting picked on at school.
That Pats jersey, with Chris Hogan's #15 on it, was like a bullseye for bullies, who started giving young fan Rory O'Regan a hard time.
Rory's mother, who raised her son as a member of Patriots Nation, remarked on the torment the boy was receiving on an online Patriots forum. Next thing he knows, Hogan himself responded!
In a video message posted on the Patriots website , the wide receiver thanked his fourth-grade fan for support, and passed on some advice.
"Don't worry about what other people think about you, don't worry what other people say," Hogan said.
Rory suddenly doesn't feel quite so lonely, telling WBZ-TV it's the happiest day of his life.
"It's amazing, like seriously!" he told WBZ-TV.
