BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Rams cornerback Aqib Talib was once a vital member of the Patriots' secondary.
Talib called Foxborough home for parts of the 2012 and 2013 seasons before moving on to Denver and, this week, he and former teammate Tom Brady shared a great story about their time together after New England acquired the corner from Tampa Bay.
"The day that we got him, I remember Coach Belichick brought him over to see if he could play receiver after practice," Brady said.
"He got me all excited, I thought I was gonna have a receiver package," Talib said. "Tom was throwing me passes, so I can really say I caught passes from Tom Brady though!"

But how were Talib's hands?
"He could've been as good a receiver as he is as a corner," Brady said.
"Thank you, Tom, I appreciate that," Talib said.
Bill Belichick probably wasn't totally messing around. He's used players like Troy Brown, Julian Edelman, and Mike Vrabel on both sides of the ball over the years. But, alas, Pats fans never saw Talib line up at receiver.
Talib spoke fondly of his time with the Patriots, saying he really likes to win, and that happened a lot.
