BOSTON, MA (WBZ-AM) -- Several East Boston families have been displaced by a 4-alarm fire
Heavy smoke billowed above 238 Havre Street as a 4 alarm-blaze ripped through the building.
Fire officials say everyone got out of the 6-unit apartment building when fire broke out around noontime
But a mother, her 3 children suffered minor injuries. Officials also say a fire fighter also suffered burn injuries to his neck
A total of 21 residents living in the building have been displaced.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation. It is estimated the fire caused nearly $1.2 million dollars in damages.
