BOSTON (WBZ-AM) -- The Bruins have alternated wins and losses their last six games, and they'll open a four-game trip tonight in St. Louis at 8 p.m. That'll be followed by stops in Dallas, Minnesota, and Winnipeg over the next week.

What does Riley Nash expect?

"These teams out here seem to be a little bit bigger, heavier, stronger," Nash said. "This is probably a little bit more playoff-style hockey, so it'll be a good test for us to see how we respond."

The Bruins are down to their last 11 games of the regular season and they trail the Lightning by five points for the East lead, with two games in-hand.

Ryan Donato Shined For Bruins In NHL Debut

Donato made the most of his NHL debut with a goal and two assists over nearly 20 minutes of ice.

But they continue to be very shorthanded. Boston's missing Patrice Bergeron, David Backes, Rick Nash, Jake DeBrusk, Zdeno Chara, and Charlie McAvoy.

Adam McQuaid's dinged up as well, but he's in line to play. Star in the making Ryan Donato joined the team after hanging back for a class at Harvard yesterday. And Jordan Swarz and Paul Postma are up from Providence.

Blues have won four of five and have a lot on the line, especially with leading scorer Vladimir Tarasenko's dealing with an upper body injury. They're three points shy of the last Wild Card spot out West.

Bruins won the clubs' other meeting 3-1 last month.
