Celtics freshman Jayson Tatum suffered through a midseason funk. You might call it the ‘rookie wall.’
But, after turning 20 earlier this month, Tatum has burst right through that sucker!
Tatum is averaging nearly 19 points and seven rebounds in his last five games while making 50 percent of his shots and playing 35 minutes a night.
Tuesday, the swingman assisted on Marcus Morris's winning 3 as part of a 23-point, 11-rebound effort for his fourth career double-double.

“It’s not even about being impressed anymore,” Morris said. “It’s to the point where I know what he’s gonna bring - I know what he’s capable of. So, it’s more, like, I expect that, just being around him, watching him play day-in and day out, practicing with him and things like that. It’s more that you expect that kind of thing from him.”
Tatum may have to shoulder the load again in Portland tonight with Kyrie Irving and Jaylen Brown still unavailable.
Celts have won two of three. Blazers suffered a 115-111 setback to the league-leading Rockets Tuesday, but had previously won 13 straight. They've taken 18 of 20 at home.
