BOSTON (WBZ-AM) -- It was a great and wildly entertaining win for the now first-place Bruins last night at the Garden.
It was a 4-2 decision over the Lightning to drop the Bolts to second. Boston holds a one-point lead in the East, with a game in-hand and one meeting left with Tampa.
And, it you're dreaming big, don't count out the B's winning the Presidents' Trophy. Only the Predators have more points with 111 to the Bruins' 107, and Boston has a game in-hand on Nashville as well.
Most important, though, the B's are down to their last six games in the regular season, and they're getting healthier.
Zdeno Chara, Charlie McAvoy, and Jake DeBrusk are all nearing returns, and hopefully Rick Nash will be good to go for the playoffs.
Patrice Bergeron returned from a month-long absence three games ago, and he's picked up right where he left off with a goal and four assists to give him 59 points in 58 games.
David Pastrnak's a fan.
"He's a star player, you know?" Pastrnak said. "A pig piece on our team, so great job by him. So much good stuff on defensive zone, and a penalty killer. We need these kind of players, he's good all around--great all around."
Bruins will host the Panthers tomorrow at 1 p.m.
