LEXINGTON, MA (WBZ-AM) – With rain falling at the birthplace of the American revolution, the wind and wet weather did not stop the hundreds of spectators to watch the re-enactment of the 1775 Battle of Lexington and Concord.
“To have our founders have their blood shed here to me is its significance,” said Guy Doreen a reenactor.

Held annually, the reenactment is part of the of Patriots Day holiday celebration commemorating the opening battle of the American Revolutionary War on April 19 , 1975.
“A little tricky but we know it was a bit warmer that day “ said James Lee Playing the role of Jonas parker said getting involved and taking part is a natural fit.
Spectators in rain gear say that they would miss the event for anything.
Jacob from Northborough, Mass has been coming for several years now normally in warmer weather.
“I went to school for history and it seem an interesting things to be coming to though this morning it’s a little cold and windy but you know being a baby about it they (the re-enactors ) are actually handling better than I am,” he said.
