BOSTON (WBZ-AM) -- Red Sox lead the majors with a 13-and-2 record--just a half-game better than the Angels.

Those clubs will clash tonight in Anaheim at 10:07 when Boston starts a nine-game road trip to follow an 8-and-1 homestand, and the Sox will get their first look at a player they'd very much hoped to sign last winter.

Japanese sensation Shohei Ohtani.

He can hit, he can pitch, and unfortunately, the 23-year-old two-way star chose Los Angeles.

MLB-Leading Red Sox Have Faith In Inconsistent Bullpen

At least statistically, Red Sox have the third-best pitching staff in baseball.

Ohtani will get the start on the mound tonight. The right-hander's 2-0 with a 2.08 ERA and 18 strikeouts to only two walks through his first 13 innings.

That also means David Price won't have to face him. At the plate, the lefty's batting .367 with three homers and 11 RBI in just 30 at-bats.

That means Ohtani's someone else's problem later in the series--after Boston's bats have to deal with him.
