BOSTON (WBZ-AM) -- Even with Patrice Bergeron scratched just before the game with an upper body injury, the Bruins managed a 3-1 win in Toronto in Game 4 last night.
Bergeron's linemates Brad Marchand and David Pastrnak didn't miss a beat, and Riley Nash filled it admirably.
With that, Boston's a win away from the second-round of the Stanley Cup playoffs, but Tuukka Rask will tell you nothing's guaranteed, no matter how many B's fans believe the Maple Leafs are done.
"Those last games, you know, when you have a clinching game, they're always the toughest ones," he said. "You know the other team's going to come out hard, do whatever they can to try to win win, but we just have to be mentally and physically ready, and get some rest tomorrow, and get back at it Saturday."
Rask was tremendous with 31 saves Thursday night. He has a 2-27 goals-against-average and .926 save percentage in the series. Both better numbers than he displayed in the regular season.
Now, the goalie's on the cusp of eliminating the team that drafted him 21st overall way back in 2005. He was traded to the Black and Gold for Andrew Raycroft the following June.
Thanks, Leafs!
Game 5 is Saturday night at the Garden.
