BOSTON (WBZ-AM) -- The Red Sox have the best record in the majors at 22-and-9. You'd think that means they have some breathing room atop the American League East, but...nope.

The Yankees have won 12 of 13 to climb within a game of first.

David Price was knocked around for nine runs last night in Texas - Boston's seventh loss in 12 games.

The four-game set will continue tonight at 8:05 p.m., and Mookie Betts is done thinking about last night's 11-5 setback.

"Stay positive," he said. "I think I just have a new mindset of turning the page and starting each day fresh. I think in doing that I've had a little success, but we have a long time to go."

4-and-0 Rick Porcello will square off with soon to be 45-year-old righty Bartolo Colon. He'll try for his 242nd career win, which would tie Hall of Famer Juan Marichal for the most by a player born in the Dominican Republic.

Porcello has a 2.23 ERA this year, but a 5.52 career ERA opposite the Rangers. He'll have to deal with Nomar Mazara. He's homered in three straight.

Colon has a 2.87 mark, and of course will have to try to figure out Betts. The All-Star homered for his MLB-leading 12th time and drove in four yesterday.
