BOSTON (WBZ-AM) -- Jackie Bradley Junior didn't exactly get off to a blistering start to the season. Through 17 games, he was batting .233 with a .733 OPS.

But, it's gone further south for the Red Sox outfielder.

Over Bradley's last 16 games, he's struck out 24 times and has five singles in 50 at-bats for a .100 average.

As a result, he was benched the final two games in New York and he isn't feeling all that chatty.

Is the slump bothering him?

"Nothing bothering me at all," Bradley said. "Just got to come here, continue to work, and make adjustments."

Red Sox Expect Another Hot Streak--Now

Hanley Ramirez believes his Sox will heat up again after avoiding a sweep in the Bronx.

Okay...what's he doing to break out of the funk?

"Work."

Right, but what is he working on?

"Just making adjustments, and taking it pitch by pitch."

How does manager Alex Cora think it's going for Jackie?

"We're making some adjustments," he said. "There was a better rhythm in batting practice today. You can see his hands were working a little bit more. He was able to drive the ball to left-center. That was good. I mean, it's batting practice. He knows what's coming, but it was good. You can see that he's making strides."

Cora said Bradley may play tonight in Toronto.
