BOSTON (WBZ-AM) -- Celtics blew out the Cavaliers by 25 points to take Game 1 of the East finals. They were balanced and dynamic on both ends of the floor to improve to 8-0 at the Garden this postseason.

But, C's coach Brad Stevens wasn't totally satisfied.

"We've got a lot of room to improve from tonight," he said. "I thought we missed some opportunities to close out the shooters, I thought some of our doubles were bad, and I thought, offensively, we got stagnant in their third-quarter run. And I think we're very alert to the fact that we'll get a heavyweight punch Tuesday night, and it's another great challenge and another great opportunity to experience something for this team."

Celtics' Marcus Morris Thrives Defending LeBron James

Morris defended James on a team-high 39 possessions.

Celts players follow Stevens' lead. They take nothing for granted, especially after a passive opener from LeBron James.

Just ask Jaylen Brown.

"He's gonna come out and he's gonna be LeBron James," he said. "So our job is to continue to do what we do, make it tough on those other guys, and expect to get a punch in Game 2, and we gotta weather that storm and find away to get another W on this floor."

James is confident his group will be better as well.

"We have an opportunity to look at a lot of film tomorrow and see ways they were making us uncomfortable, making myself off-balance and not have a rhythm all game," James said. "We'll be much better in Game 2."

Tip-off tomorrow at 8:30 p.m.
