BOSTON (WBZ-AM) -- J.D. Martinez homered and drove in three in yesterday's 5-3 edging of the Blue Jays and, with that, the Red Sox finished a 6-4 road trip to keep pace with the Yankees for a share of the best record in the majors at 28-12.

"We had that one fall in New York, but I think we overall had a really good road trip," Martinez said.

Boston's big offseason signing is still raking.

Next, Boston will start a seven-game homestand tonight against struggling Oakland. Athletics have lost five of six.

Rick Porcello's 5--0 with a 2.79 ERA, and he's won his last four decisions versus the A's. Lately, though, he's not as sharp. The righty has a 4.15 ERA his last four starts.

The Sox will have to deal with Sean Manaea on the other side. The lefty faced Boston April 21st and tossed a no-hitter. He has a 2.11 ERA this year, but Manaea's really struggled at Fenway. In two starts spanning just six-and-a-third frames, he's allowed 15 runs!

If you're a 'what've you done for me lately' kind of person, Manaea's also dropped both his starts this month and totaled a 6.17 ERA.

First pitch is at 7:10 p.m.

Nineteen of Boston's next 26 games will be at home.
