FOXBORO (WBZ-AM) -- Matt Light was chosen by the fans to be the 27th person inducted into the New England Patriots Hall of Fame.

The former offensive tackle spent his entire 11-year career with New England and won three Super Bowl titles.

But in a conference call, Light said he wasn't really eyeballing a football career.

"I didn't have any major dreams growing up as a kid of being an NFL player, but I was one of these guys that was extremely fortunate to not only make it to the NFL but make it to an organization that put winning first," he said.

As for being inducted into the Pats Hall of Fame?

"It's a very amazing time for my family, for my friends, for all the people who have supported me, my coaches, especially the coaches in New England that I was fortunate enough to have," Light said. "It's just an amazing feeling, it really is."

His induction ceremony will be on September 29.
