Two Arrested After Dorchester Man Shot In Face

BOSTON,MA (WBZ-AM) -- A Dorchester man is recovering after being shot in the face -- two suspects are now under arrest.

It happened Monday afternoon shortly before 4:30 p.m. Police say two males aged 17 and 19 rode up on a moped, shot a male victim in the face, and then drove off. The victim's injuries are non-life threatning.

"Thank the public," said Boston Police Commissioner Bill Evans "It's through their descriptions and their ID that we got these two individuals and we were able to make this case," he said.

Police believe the suspects knew the victim. They are scheduled to appear in Dorchester District court Tuesday, charged with four counts -- including armed assault with intent to murder.

WBZ NewsRadio1030's Carl Stevens reports.
