BOSTON (WBZ-AM) -- A former mafia capo gave dramatic testimony Tuesday in the murder trial of "Cadillac" Frank Salemme, who is accused of killing Steven DiSarro.

Robert Deluca, a good friend of Salemme and admitted partner-in-crime, told the court about a May 1993 meeting he and Salemme had a Providence restaurant where they allegedly came up with the plan--with Deluca claiming he told Salemme to "get rid of" DiSarro.

Deluca's three hours on the stand were filled with stories about alleged members of the mafia.

Deluca said DiSarro had been skimming money from the former Channel Nightclub, which Salemme had a hidden interest in.

He also claimed DiSarro had become a government informant--though admitted to informing on other mobsters himself.

Deluca claims DiSarro was lured to Salemme's home in Sharon, where Salemme's son, Junior, strangled him--assisted, he claims, by co-defendant Paul Weadick.

He described how DiSarro's body was buried behind a Providence mill. DiSarro's remains were discovered there in 2016.
