GEORGETOWN, MA (24/7 News Source) -- A Martha's Vineyard man is under arrest for stealing a car and crashing it on I-95. Police say they found a stolen SUV driving erratically on the highway last night and tried to pull it over.
The driver instead led officers on a high speed chase until he was taken out by spike strips in Georgetown.
The vehicle crashed into a van on the other side of the median, and 39-year-old Steven Chaffee was arrested after a short foot chase.
Chafee was finally subdued by a State Police K9. No one was seriously hurt.
