BOSTON (WBZ-AM) -- Red Sox lefty Eduardo Rodriguez has been winning a lot of games. He's 7-and-1 with a 3.68 ERA thru a dozen starts, and Boston's 11-and-1 this year with him on the mound.

"I just tried to go out there and pitch, you know what I mean?" Rodriguez said. "I just tried to get a good result, and go out there and try to get outs, and give my team an opportunity to win the game."

Rodriguez will toe the rubber again tonight against his former organization in Baltimore. Sox blanked the Orioles 2-nothing last night to hand them their 12th loss in 14 games.

Why 7-1 Eduardo Rodriguez Has Been So Dominant This Year

Hear from manager Alex Cora on the team's sizzling hot starter.

Rodriguez has won his last four starts and has a slim 1.90 ERA along the way. That run started with five shutout frames against the O's at Fenway May 20th. He also held the Birds to one run over six back on April 13th for his first win of the season.

Orioles will counter with righty David Hess. The rookie's 2-and-2 with a 3.07 ERA in five outings. He lost opposite Rodriguez in May when he gave up a career-high five runs on three homers in just four-and-two-thirds innings.

Sox hold a share of first-place in the East. O's are the worst team in baseball. First pitch is at 7:05 p.m.
