BOSTON (WBZ-AM) -- It was a rocky morning for the T, with service between the Park Street and Kenmore stations on the Green Line suspended during the Tuesday morning commute for several hours.

The MBTA said an overhead wire was damaged. Service was suspended in both directions, and was restored around 11 a.m.

The damaged wire is located between the Arlington and Copley stations, on the westbound side of the track. The cause of the damage was not yet known, but crews were investigating.

MBTA buses have been brought in as a replacement. The T has asked commuters to consider using the Orange Line between Back Bay and Downtown Crossing. The organization has apologized for the disruption.
