BOSTON (AP) — Boston Police say an officer dove into the car of a belligerent driver who tried to flee.
Police say the incident happened Tuesday in the Mattapan neighborhood of Boston.
Officers arrested 28-year-old Aaren Howard, of Boston, and charged him with unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and other violations.
Police say officers stopped Howard for making an illegal turn.
They say he tried to flee and an officer dove in the vehicle, struggled with Howard and eventually got the keys out of the ignition.
Police say they confiscated a firearm, marijuana and cash.
It couldn't immediately be determined whether Howard has an attorney who could comment on his behalf.
