WORCESTER, Mass. (AP) — A Rhode Island man was shot in the head, but is expected to survive.
Authorities say a 19-year-old Woonsocket man was shot in the head and is being treated at St. Vincent Hospital.
Police were notified of the shooting at 6 p.m. Saturday night by a gunshot detection system.
The man is described as being uncooperative with police. Witnesses told police two cars were driving through a neighborhood when someone in one vehicle opened fire on the other.
Police say the man is expected to survive, and have not identified him. As of Sunday morning it is unclear if any suspects are in custody for the shooting.
