CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (WBZ-AM) -- Sunday August 12 will mark one year since Heather Heyer was killed during a white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia when a man drove his car into counter protesters.

WBZ NewsRadio1030 Producer Suzanne Sausville spoke with Heather's mom, Susan Bro, who now runs a foundation in her daughter's name. She told WBZ that she's so busy carrying on her daughter's work for social justice, that she often doesn't have time to cry.
Charlottesville has declared a state of emergency ahead of Sunday's anniversary of that deadly white supremacist rally.
