BOSTON (AP) — Visitors to the Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the United States Senate will be able to pay tribute to the late U.S. Sen. John McCain.
The educational facility in Boston, which includes a replica of the U.S. Senate chamber, planned to offer a live feed Saturday of the memorial service for McCain at the Washington National Cathedral.
Visitors have been invited to sign a condolence book and leave any messages they would like for the longtime Arizona senator's family.
Kennedy, a Democrat, and McCain, a Republican, often disagreed on issues. But they became close friends while serving together in the Senate.
McCain died of a glioblastoma, the same aggressive form of brain cancer that killed Kennedy in 2009.
Democratic U.S. Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse of Rhode Island will be a pallbearer.
