FRANKLIN, Mass. (AP) — Police in Massachusetts say a pedestrian has been seriously injured in a crash.
Authorities say the person was struck while standing outside of their vehicle on Interstate 495 in Franklin Monday afternoon. The victim was airlifted to UMass Medical Center in Worcester. The victim's condition was not immediately known.
Massachusetts State Police Lt. Tom Ryan says the crash doesn't appear to be a hit-and-run.
An investigation continues.
