BOSTON (24/7 NewsSource) -- The MBTA is seeking two more years to make train safety improvements.
They've requested an extension to 2020 for the federally mandated work. It will include the implementation of anti-collision technology on the commuter rail network. If approved, the transit authority would have more time to install, test, and make the positive train control system operational.
