LAWRENCE (WBZ-AM) -- The Parthum School in Lawrence was evacuated Thursday morning after gas smells were reported, Lawrence Mayor Dan Rivera said in a tweet. Lawrence Police said the students there were taken to Lawrence High School.
Rivera said this was not related to the September 13 gas disaster.
Rivera said gas smells were also reported at the Arlington School and Oliver School, though no leaks were found there. At the Arlington, it was determined that the smell came from work on the school's boiler system.
