FITCHBURG (AP) -- Authorities say a 2-year-old Massachusetts girl has died after apparently falling from a fourth-floor window.
Police and firefighters responded to a Fitchburg apartment building at about 4:30 p.m. Thursday. The girl was taken to an area hospital where she died.
Fire Chief Kevin Roy says two family members of the girl were also taken to a hospital for emotional distress.Police are calling it an "unattended death" and say they are still investigating.No name was released.Witness Rob Hurley told the Sentinel & Enterprise that the child was "limp and unresponsive."
