LITTLETON, Mass. (WBZ-AM) — Students at Littleton High School are getting a taste of fresh seafood in their lunches, as part of a pilot program being offered at the school.

The program is in conjunction with Red's Best Fish Pier in Boston

Cafeteria manager Marylou Kelly said the pilot program has been a success so far.

“All different types of fish they brought — haddock, and scallops, and shells — all different things that maybe kids had never seen before,” Kelly said.

The cafeteria staff plans on experimenting with a variety of recipes, including fish tacos. They intend on offering the freshly caught lunches twice a month.
