BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The New England Patriots beat the Los Angeles Rams 13-3 to win their third championship in five years, and NFL record-tying sixth. But, for the Patriots, it’s all been in the last 18 years.

“I am honored to say for the sixth time we are all Patriots, and once again the Patriots are world champions,” owner Robert Kraft said.

Patriots Coach Bill Belichick has been in New England for all of the Super Bowl wins.

“Everybody counted us out from the beginning of the season to mid-season, but we’re still here,” Belichick said.

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has also been there for all of the championship wins.

“Just so proud of our team. I mean, the support here tonight was like a home game — we could have been at Gillette Stadium,” Brady said Sunday night.

Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman earned game MVP honors with 10 catches for 141 years.

“I wasn’t focused on that. I was just trying to go out and have a good week of practice and do my job,” Edelman said.
