Officials Believe Man Beat NH Couple To Death Before Killing Self

HOOKSETT, New Hampshire (WBZ NewsRadio) — Authorities believe drugs may have played a role in the murders of a New Hampshire man and woman who were found beaten to death in their Hooksett home.

June and Thomas Cosma are remembered lovingly by their relatives, who are overcome by grief.

"Right now we're still mourning, it's tough," the couple's nephew, Daniel, told WBZ-TV.

The New Hampshire Attorney General's office claims 34-year-old Zachary Gloudemans killed the Cosmas, and that he had shown recent signs of drug abuse.

Gloudemans' dead body was found near the Cosmas' car in Lawrence Sunday after a high-speed chase concluded. Police believe Gloudemans stole the car and, when he realized he couldn't get away, took his own life.

After police found that the car was registered to the Cosmas, they went to their home and found them dead inside.

Authorities are now trying to piece together whether or not Gloudemans knew the Cosmas beforehand. Investigators said he had been recently staying near the Cosmas' Kimball Drive home.
