CONCORD, NH (WBZ NewsRadio) — New Hampshire State prison authorities need the public’s help to find a prisoner who walked out of a halfway house and did not return. Jeffrey Groulx is now considered an escapee.
Groulx,a minimum-security inmate serving time for felony robbery was being detained at the the White Farm Center on Clinton Street in Concord when he left the facility Friday afternoon around 3p.m.
He was eligible for release next January. However, escaping from a transitional housing unit is classified as a Class B felony, with a prison term of 3 1/2 to 7 years.
Prison officials describe him as a 44-year-old white male, 5 feet 11 inches tall, about 155 pounds with a shaved head and blue eyes who was last seen wearing prison green pants and a button-down shirt with a white T-shirt underneath.
Anyone with information on the escaped inmate's whereabouts is asked to call the NH State or local police.
