WATCH: Water Hydrant Knockout Boston Firefighter

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — A Boston firefighter was not injured after being knocked off his feet by a fire hydrant Saturday according to Boston Fire.

The video which was posted on reddit.com, a social news aggregation/discussion website, shows the firefighter from Engine 10 working on the hydrant when water started gushing out — knocking him down on the ground. The water pushes him back towards the pole of a street sign.

Officials from Boston Fire say that the unnamed firefighter was working to tighten the hydrant in front of the 7-Eleven at Center Plaza near Government Center at the time of the incident.
