High school may erase mural of George Washington because it "traumatizes students". A Northern California public school district may remove a mural of George Washington from the halls of his namesake high school because it is now considered offensive and demeaning to Native Americans and African-Americans. Critics say the mural, made up of several panels, “traumatizes students and community members while advocates argue destroying the 83-year-old mural ignores the intent of the artist and represents an attempt to erase history. Whose side are you on?

The war against Styrofoam. Coffee giant Dunkin’ is banning its Styrofoam coffee cups in favor of environmentally friendly double-walled paper cups by the end of this year. Meanwhile polystyrene food containers were officially banned in the entire state of Maine this week after Governor Janet Mills signed the new law. Are you on board?

Arming Teachers in Florida. A bill passed this week in Florida allows teachers to carry guns in school. It now goes to the Governor for approval. The bill was strongly opposed by teachers unions, and school boards who want to leave the security job to trained police officers. What do you think?
