SALEM, Mass. ( WBZ NewsRadio) — A man who served decades in prison for a rape he says he didn’t commit is back in court again.
George Perrot is set to appear in court Monday on an unrelated charge of sexual assault.
Lawrence Police say he was found unconscious on a sidewalk allegedly on top of an unconscious woman who was partially clothed.
She was revived with narcan, and allegedly told police that Perrot had given her a substance authorities say was heroin.
George Perot got out of prison in 2016 after, his conviction for a 1978 rape was overturned.
