Should 16-year-olds be allowed to vote? The Somerville City Council has unanimously voted to lower its local voting age to 16 years old. The measure still requires approval from the Legislature. Is this really a good idea?

A teacher with breast cancer has been told she has to pay for her substitute. What would you like to say to the school board that came up with this bright idea? A San Francisco elementary school teacher who is on medical leave not only has to foot medical bills, she has to pay for a substitute teacher under a California law that allows the district to deduct the cost for the substitute teacher from the ill teacher's salary. Is this fair?

Should transgender athletes have their own teams? A female high school athlete in Connecticut has been a state champion until two transgender athletes - competing as girls but born boys, started sweeping all the girls events. Is it fair to allow transgender athletes who have male muscle structure compete with girls?
