Nightside with Dan Rea - Rundown for May 15, 2020

What Does Re-Opening Mean? Governor Baker has set Monday, May 18th, as the day Massachusetts starts back on the road to economic recovery. Suffolk University economics Professor David Tuerck, who also runs The Beacon Hill Institute think tank, says cities and towns, which rely largely on property taxes, likely will have relatively stable revenue but that it will be increasingly difficult to justify some municipal and state jobs which have been deemed essential but probably are not. Professor Tuerck joins Dan to talk about the "new normal."

On The Road Again. People across the U.S. appear to be rearing to go, ready to get out of their homes, and start traveling again. News from the travel and cruise industry is that bookings are up...way, way up. Dan Sullivan of Collette Tours joins Dan to talk about restarting the great cruise engine. Are you planning a vacation?
