Reopening The Case. In the wake of the death of George Floyd, there has been increased calls to reanalyze various cases of injustice, such as the D.J. Henry case out of NY. Various celebrities sent a letter to Attorney General Barr to “reopen the case and probe the wrongful death of Danroy ‘D.J.’ Henry.” Henry was a 20-year-old Pace University student who was shot and killed by a police officer back in 2010, while he was inside his own vehicle. Paying The Price. With the expectation that a second wave of COVID-19 will be coming soon, lawmakers are pushing for fines for those who refuse to wear masks and break quarantine. This comes in an effort to try and prevent a second surge from happening. Rep. Jon Santiago filed a bill laying out a 5-point strategy for how to stop the further spread and he joins Dan tonight to discuss this bill. Part of the strategy includes fines upwards of $1,000 for those who break quarantine and $100 for those who refuse to wear a mask. Does it make a difference to you if this bill gets passed?
