Remote Learning Is Not Cutting It. The grades at prestigious exam school Boston Latin Academy, have taken a downturn as failing marks have jumped 4% over last year's failing marks. Headmaster Gerald Howland acknowledges that remote learning can be a real challenge for some and says he and his team are reaching out to all the families in the school to identify where kids are struggling. Electoral College Challenges. Texas announced today that it is suing four battleground states, Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, in an effort to halt presidential electors from finalizing President-elect Joe Biden's victory. The case goes directly to the Supreme Court. Dan will speak with one of the Massachusetts electors, Joe Kelly, about the electoral college process as a whole and what is currently scheduled to take place next Monday, December 14th.
Student Loan Forgiveness? According to Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), President-elect Joe Biden is “considering” using an executive order to forgive $50,000 in federal student loan debt for low-income and middle-class students on his first day in the oval office. Is this fair to others who worked and skimped and saved to pay off their debt? How about those that chose not to go into debt and missed out on college?
