Just after Massachusetts received $1 billion for its transportation agencies under the latest federal COVID-19 relief plan, the MBTA came out with a new wave of service cuts. Congressman Stephen Lynch takes major aim with this move by the MBTA saying this week, “They’re going to take the billion dollars and lay people off? I don’t think so.” Rep. Vaccinations for All! Today, the Baker Administration announced that all Commonwealth residents ages 16 and up will be eligible to get a Coronavirus vaccine by April 19th. Additionally, grocery store workers along with transit and restaurant employees have at last been given some priority. Could this move have anything to do with a new poll that shows Governor Baker has lost one third of his support amid widespread criticism of the state’s handing of the Coronavirus pandemic?
Sexual Harassment Re-Visited. Rhode Island Senator Sheldon Whitehouse says the FBI did not put their best foot forward when they investigated Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh for sexual assault during his confirmation hearing. Whitehouse has informed the Department of Justice that the Senate Judiciary Committee is going to review the case two years after the fact. Does the timing of this seem suspicious to you?
