Boston Schools Will Open...Just Not Yet. Boston Public Schools are requesting another delay for the full resumption of full time, in-person classes for students in kindergarten through eighth grade from April 5th to April 27th. The school district says it needs more time to begin implementing 5 days of in-person learning for students in grades K-8 and tweeted it would inform all families once the delay becomes official. Do you support the delay in physically returning to the classroom?

The Vaccination Conundrum. How long will a COVID vaccination last? Is any one particular vaccine better than another? Is the AstraZeneca vaccine safe? Can I be required by my employer to take a vaccine approved only for emergency use? These are many of the questions swirling around the vaccine rollout. Dr. Atul Grover, the Executive Director of the Association of American Medical Colleges joins Dan to answer some of these questions.

Reparations in Illinois. This past week, the town of Evanston, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago, approved the first spending for its reparations program in a vote of 8-1 by local aldermen. This first of its kind $10 million reparations program was first approved back in 2019 and is funded by the state’s marijuana sales tax revenue along with donations. To qualify for reparations an applicant must have “origins in any of the Black racial and ethnic groups of Africa”, be a Black resident of Evanston between 1919-1969 or that person’s direct descendent or have experienced housing discrimination due to the city’s policies after 1969. Are you in support of Evanston’s reparations program?
