Public Safety and the Decision to Not Prosecute. There is a movement afoot to cut down on incarcerations in this country and various state and district attorneys are cutting down on prosecutions to make that happen. Both Baltimore and Boston have adopted a “decline to prosecute” policy where the region’s prosecutors have been instructed to dismiss minor offenses. Suffolk County DA Rachael Rollins in particular has instructed her prosecutors to divert nonviolent misdemeanor offenses such as drug possession, trespassing, and disorderly conduct. Do you believe cutting down on prosecutions promotes public safety?

Economics 101. President Biden recently unveiled his infrastructure plan, The American Jobs Plan, that focuses on helping the nation’s economy recover from the COVID pandemic. The roughly $2 trillion dollar plan covers transportation, housing, manufacturing, job creation, and a lot more. In addition, the Biden Administration has announced their new Child Tax Credit that would give eligible families up to $300 a month starting this July. Economist and former 2016 economic advisor to the Trump campaign, Steve Moore joins Dan to discuss.

Does CRT Equal McCarthyism? American Airlines is investigating one of its pilots who they say spoke against an effort by his local school district to implement elements of critical race theory. The investigation into pilot Guy Midkiff began after a local group called Southlake Anti-Racism Coalition claimed the pilot had been harassing supporters of CRT online despite no evidence of singling anyone out. The group (SARC) started contacting American Airlines about the incident and now Midkiff is fighting to keep his job. Is CRT becoming the McCarthyism of the 21st century?
