Activist Athletes on the Olympic Team. Minutes after qualifying for the Olympic Team, third place finisher in the hammer throw Gwen Berry raised a T-shirt over her face as the national anthem played and turned her back on the flag. The International Olympic Committee prohibits political protest and already put Berry on probation for raising her fist on the podium at the 2019 Pan-American Games. The foundation received so much scrutiny for their statement that they are now walking it back saying, “Make-A-Wish will not require anyone to get vaccinated to get a wish.” What do you make of this Make-a-Wish kerfuffle?
